Capri Capri

The funny thing about translating styling and inspiration into a blog post is that all the images and references I imagine and cite in my head when putting a look together can never be found on the internet as proof. One day we will be able to project images from our minds onto paper or email them from our heads. That would help me so much!
I thought I could find loads of chic women sporting palazzo pants in front of the colosseum alas, no. So just be inspired by Italy. You'll figure it out.

This outfit in my mind is "Italian traveler-Late 1960's." A little Marni style with graphic printed wide leg capris and flat-form espadrilles (of course!) Mixed with a little Marge from "The Talented Mr. Ripley" with the polka-dot shirt tied up. Plus a sporty cross body for all the Vespa riding and some big green shades for all the sun. I could sight see all day in Rome AND THEN drive to the Amalfi coast for cocktails all in this outfit-NP!Without a suitcase or a shower! It's no-nonsense summer style and very me. While it totally works for a Sunny day in NY- Mi Manca Italia : (
This is also a chance to show off my new Meredith Wendel bag I got on ebay. It's the perfect size and the strap is like a seat-belt!
