Our Met Gala Picks!

Fashion is becoming more democratic, True or False? True: if you aren't an actress, model or personal friend of Anna Wintour's, you could still get in on the Met Gala 2012 red carpet action via web stream, and photos were available online by the time guests sat down for dinner. So by now you've probably seen 90 percent of what people wore, but what about the other 10 percent? Luckily for you, many of the Hester and Lucia picks for best dressed are the fashion girls who were neglected by the Us weekly and Just Jared crowd despite their on-point Met Gala style, (not so democratic.)

Besides the handful of train wrecks (ahem Leighton Meester) there were so many good looks to chose from and after much debate and even confusion we finally selected the most unique, supremely perfect and overall beautiful styles from what is now considered the superbowl of fashion. The event honoring the opening of "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations", inspired a solid showing of Prada looks on red carpet, including Angela Lindvall in the Fall 12 dress over pants look (soo cool.) Because we are over the hip hugging, corset-y, look-at-me gowns that have become the standard with stylists of the Hollywood set. We like kooky drama, easy elegance, super chic and crazy shit, and most of our picks fall into one of those categories. We hope you appreciate it too.
Hester's faves
Caroline Sieber in Chanel, Linda Fargo in Schiaparelli , Chloe Sevigny in Miu Miu, and Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior
Lucia's picks
Haneli Mustaparta in Calvin Klein, M.I.A. in Stella McCartney, Constance Jablonski in Haider Ackermann, and Joan Smalls in Balmain
Game Over...
Met Gala Champion, and EVERYONE AGREES, Gisele in Givenchy.  She's perfect.
